Ahmedabad: Gujarat-based Arrival Automotive has unveiled its first AIS-153 compliant body superstructure prototype, the Curve-12M, built on an Eicher 3016R chassis, as the company looks to expand its presence in the bus body-building segment.
The company said its facility can develop bus bodies for electric, diesel and CNG-powered vehicles, offering customised solutions based on operator requirements.
The Curve-12M prototype has a seating capacity of 56 passengers and can be configured in AC and non-AC variants, as well as sleeper and seater layouts.
“Our focus is to build more luxury and sleeper coaches, depending on market demand,” Arrival Automotive Co-founder Santosh Shriwas said.
Co-founder Akshay Chaudhary said the Curve-12M is the company’s first bus and it has already started receiving orders from customers across the country.
“Currently, we have at least 21 bus orders, which are under process,” Chaudhary said.
The company said it also plans to build customised vehicles, including sleeper buses, seater buses and vanity vans, depending on customer requirements.
Arrival Automotive said the Curve-12M’s AIS-153 compliant body superstructure has been developed to meet applicable safety requirements for bus body construction.
The bus body has been developed on the Eicher 3016R platform, with the company positioning it as a flexible solution for operators looking for customised configurations across different powertrain options.
